Who I am as a Therapist
As a therapist, I take a person-centered approach, helping clients tap into their strengths, autonomy, and capacity for growth. I integrate cognitive behavioral, strengths-based, and psychodynamic techniques to explore how past experiences shape present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
My work focuses on building practical skills in emotion regulation, communication, problem-solving, and cognitive restructuring. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, and major life transitions, with the goal of reducing distress and improving overall well-being.
I utilize compassionate humor within my therapeutic style when appropriate. I believe there is healing in laughter.
“Happiness does not lie in the absence of pain.” —Dr. Justin Henderson
