Who I am as a Therapist
As a therapist, I practice from a relational, person-centered approach, which emphasizes the importance of the therapist-client relationship as it influences change. I value the relationship we build in the therapy space together, and I honor this by showing up as my genuine, non-judgmental self to connect authentically with you. As my client, you are the expert of your own journey and life experiences, while I have the privilege and honor of walking alongside you in it. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and to connect with your emotional and physical self related to the systems you are connected to. In my practice, I use evidence-based approaches from other theories and modalities tailored to each of my client’s needs as necessary. Additionally, I believe that community is an important part of healing, and I help connect my clients to what this looks like for them.
In my approach with clients, I hold awareness of and explore how our societal systems impact and oppress BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, and other marginalized identities, and how these systems contribute to your lived experience. I have experience providing care for a variety of racial, cultural, gender, and sexual identities, and I am passionately committed to providing care for 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and marginalized folks from a cultural-humility lens. As a cishet-white woman, I am mindful of how my own identities and privilege show up in the room and impact the client-therapist relationship.
Clinically, I have experience of walking with clients through the difficult journeys of grief, trauma, and a wide-range of mental health challenges, including peri and post-partum depression, neurodivergence (from a neuro-affirmative framework), depression, and anxiety. I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan, and enjoy family work greatly! I look forward to supporting you in this next step of your journey.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” – Carl Rogers

Who I am when I’m not a Therapist
Outside of the therapy space, you can find me getting my hands in the dirt of my garden, exploring a new coffee shop with friends, or working on a knitting project on my big, comfy chair. I love hanging out with my family (partner, dog, and 2 cats) and working on projects around my house. I enjoy paddle boarding in the summer and engaging in gentle movement of my body.
