Who I am as a Therapist
In order to care for ourselves and others we must accept and investigate hard truths. However, existing in a world full of hard truths and uncertainties doesn’t have to be burdensome, in fact it can be quite adventurous when you have the proper support. Everyday around the globe young children navigate lives in which most experiences are new and big. Imagine seeing a large fluffy dog for the first time, or feeling blades of grass tickle your skin as you crawl under the cascading branches of a weeping willow. Exciting but potentially terrifying stuff! Nevertheless, with guidance and support we persevere and learn that we can do hard things. Curiosity and a desire to claim space in our world helps us grow and thrive at any age, and with each stage in our life the kind of support we require to be successful changes. From needing rescuing from the large fluffy dog as a child, to overcoming grief associated with loss as an adult, there are just some things we can’t do alone.
Making the choice to seek therapy for yourself or your family is a radical act of hope and a fruitful investment. In my practice, I seek to create a container for my clients that is free of shame and judgement in order to allow for honest expression. I often incorporate the arts or play into my sessions because I believe that creativity is a powerful tool in the therapeutic process, but ultimately my clients are the experts of their own lives and I follow their lead. With me, you’ll gain valuable tools, strategies, and perspectives to help support yourself or your family members. I welcome clients of all identities and cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
“In this ocean of hours I’m all the time drinkin’
Who am I helping, what am I breaking
What am I giving, what am I taking.” – Bob Dylan

Who I am when I’m not a Therapist
In my free time you can find me trail running, browsing bookshops, playing guitar, giving hot takes about pop culture, listening to everything from hip hop to musical theater, and falling asleep during movies. I really value friendship, quiet time and good food/drink. Art and creative expression are very important to me, and in my opinion young children are the most talented and influential artists among us.
