Who I am as a Therapist
I believe growth and healing occurs through insight, understanding of, and increased connection within the contexts and relationships in which we are embedded. My role is to support you in identifying patterns that may be contributing to the challenges you are coming in with and work together to help you achieve your goals in therapy. I rely on attachment and structural perspectives and integrate other evidence-based interventions from other modalities as necessary. From my work with children, teenagers, and their families, I have learned the importance of being present, active, collaborative, direct, and humorous (when appropriate) which are all a part of my therapeutic approach. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment to promote healing and change. As a Latina, I have firsthand experience in and recognition of the oppressive systems we live in. One of my goals is to be of service to those who identify within the LGTBQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

I am originally from Sacramento, California and have lived in Portland for the last 10 years. I have a deep love for dogs and enjoy being an auntie to the many dogs in my life, and can’t wait to get my own!
