Who I am as a therapist

It’s easy to find ourselves stuck in patterns, jobs, and relationships that aren’t meeting our needs. Therapy can be a place for us to explore who you are, who you want to be, and to identify concrete ways for you to actualize your goals for yourself and your relationships.

Utilizing mindfulness-based emotion and solution focused approaches, our therapy will call upon your strengths to help create a deeper sense of meaning and well-being within your own life, and in the context of your valued relationships.

I specialize in providing therapy to teens, adults, couples, and families who are struggling to overcome issues related to the following issues: infidelity, intimacy, attachment, challenges related to blending families, polyamory, food and body image, stress, anxiety, mood disorders, and the successful navigation of transitions and difficult life situations.

I have education and experience working with a variety of issues, including:

  • Relationship issues
  • Family conflict
  • Career issues
  • Life transitions
  • Eating disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Mood disorders

My Work Experience & Education

I have more than six years of experience providing therapy to individuals, couples and families. I have a BS from Portland State University in Psychology and an MS from Lewis and Clark College. Following graduate school, I lived and worked all over the country (from Texas to New England) as a clinician in community mental health and as a private practitioner. I have extensive experience and additional training in working with couples and families, folks struggling with eating disorders, trauma, attachment issues, polyamory, and at-risk-youth.

Who am I when I am not being a therapist

I love being active and outdoors (yoga, pilates, trail running, hiking, backpacking) and embrace any and all opportunities to move my body in meaningful ways. I also enjoy making music and performing/collaborating with other musicians. You might also find me in the kitchen perfecting dairy-free dessert recipes, playing cribbage, or spending time with friends and family.
