Who I am as a Therapist

I take a holistic approach to therapy to meet you where you are. My goal is to honor you and your lived experience and be your empathetic partner in therapy so you can find the best ways to make progress with your goals. I draw upon the clinical education and training that I have received to integrate physical, emotional, and nervous system awareness to create change with emotional and relational patterns. I have experience working with clients coming from diverse cultures and life conditions with unique needs ranging from QTBIPOC, ADHD, life transitions, relational distress, race and cultural identity, single parenting, chronic health conditions, and spirituality.

I draw upon person-centered therapy; process work, psychodynamic psychology; somatic therapy; trauma-informed therapy (Trauma Resiliency Model); internal family systems therapy; cognitive behavioral therapy; modern attachment theory; mindfulness; emotional-focused therapy; and art therapy to name a few.

Previously I pursued the development of the whole child in Modified Montessori/Waldorf pre-school and kindergarten, meditation and yoga, and most recently healthcare. I think addressing the root barriers is necessary for mind, body, and spirit healing and wellness. Finding the right “match” can be overwhelming and equally important to the therapeutic alliance. I am committed to maintaining an inclusive process where clients feel safe, seen, heard, and are equal partners in the therapeutic process. My life’s work is dedicated to well-being and I look forward to exploring your inner world together.

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
