Who I am as a Therapist
Hi, I’m Jenni! Welcome. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and for taking time to care for yourself. I take a humanistic approach to therapy meaning I allow space for each client to be in charge of their own process and I act as a guide, walking beside you with empathy and understanding. I believe each individual already has the internal strength to face any barrier that may arise.
Life is hard and painful at times. My goal is to promote a secure, welcoming space for any person who wants to address the struggles or traumas of life and find wholeness in whatever way that means for them. I am also committed to being an ally and providing a secure, welcoming space for individuals in the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.
I aim to build a strong, individual connection with each client through compassion, kindness, and humor! I approach our work in session through a combination of trauma-informed talk therapy and EMDR.
The therapeutic relationship must be considered when choosing a therapist. My hope is that you feel my therapeutic skills and personality are a good fit for you and your needs as goodness of fit in the client/therapist relationship is crucial.
