Who I am as a Therapist

Hi I’m Francesca! As a therapist, I am someone who strives to create a safe space for each of my clients to show up as their authentic self, where they feel heard and understood, and comfortable enough to use the space however will best serve them in that moment. I want to create a relationship with my clients, get to know them on a personal level, and collaborate to achieve the therapeutic goals that we set. One of my favorite things is talking with my clients about their lives, hearing stories about their experiences and sharing their favorite things, then using that information to create a more personalized therapeutic experience.

I believe that each client is the expert on themselves and their life experiences, and I want to spend our time in therapy together developing a deeper understanding of the way your mind works, which can help us uncover any obstacles or patterns that are preventing you from living the life that you envision. My goal for our work together is to examine the different aspects of your life you bring to our space to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your current circumstances, and your potential opportunities. By having this understanding of conflict and connection, we can help you bridge your past and your future to resolve internal conflicts, conscious or unconscious.

I have experience working with teens, emerging adults, and adults with diverse identities and backgrounds with a wide range of mental health concerns. My time working in a college counseling center allowed me to work with a diverse group of people; that experience has sparked my passion for working with marginalized folx. I bring an array of therapies and techniques into my work so that together we can develop a uniquely tailored therapeutic plan that allows us to explore how personal, relational, familial, and cultural experiences have shaped your life. I am most passionate about the psychodynamic and relational approaches to therapy. Most importantly, I am here to listen and I look forward to getting to know you and embarking on this healing journey together.
