Step 1

Request an Appointment

The first step to getting the help you need is to request an appointment through our online form. After you submit this form, it may take our Scheduling Team up to 10 business days to contact you with more information about our current availability. Pro-tip: always make sure you check your junk-mail folder. If you need assistance completing this form, feel free to call or text our Scheduling Team at 503-349-2281 and they will be happy to help you. If you have any questions, feel free to check out our FAQ page.

Step 2

Find a Provider

Depending on our current availability, our Scheduling Team will offer you the provider(s) who best meet your needs along with a few time options. If the provider you are interested in seeing doesn’t have current availability, then our Scheduling Team will give you an option for another provider who can best meet your needs.

Step 3

Reserve Your Spot

Based on what’s offered, you choose the provider and time slot that work best for you and your family. Please know that we receive many inquiries for services every day. Often, we offer open time slots to many inquiring clients. So if you have limited availability please get back to us as soon as you are able so we can hold a slot for you.

Our Scheduling Team will reserve your spot for up to 3 days while you complete the necessary paperwork. Please know that your time spot will only be confirmed once we have received all completed paperwork from you. If you are self-pay, then a Good Faith Estimate for services will be made available to you upon confirming your appointment. You also may request one at any time.

Step 4

Complete your Paperwork

You will then receive a long email from our Intake Specialist with lots of information about receiving services at our center. Please take some time to read it carefully. In this email, there will be several links to 4-5 online forms to complete. We will hold your scheduled time for 3 days for you to complete all of your online paperwork. We recommend a cup of tea or coffee and allow at least 15-30 minutes to finish all of it.

It is our center’s policy that you complete all intake paperwork before you show up to your initial session. This policy is important because it gives your therapist the vital information they need to help you as well as for our Billing Team to have what they need to check your eligibility and benefits, bill your insurance, and charge your credit card for any fees.

If you aren’t able to complete the paperwork within 3 days, we will push your scheduled appointment out a week or two to give you additional time. If your paperwork isn’t completed with the additional week, we will go ahead and release your reserved time and you can reschedule at a later date.

Step 5

Confirm your Appointment

Congratulations, your appointment is now confirmed! You worked hard to get all the necessary paperwork finished. If you are using your health insurance, our Billing Team will send you a separate email that explains your benefits and eligibility. You will also receive an additional email from our Scheduling Team confirming your scheduled time as well as information about your initial session. You’ll want to hang onto this email when the time comes for your session.

If you are doing an in-person session, this email will give you directions to our office along with instructions for meeting your therapist.

If you are doing an online session, this email will contain a Zoom link that you can use at the time of your session. Pro tip: copy the Zoom link into your calendar event for the session.

Step 6

Meet your Therapist

The time has come to meet your therapist. Your first session is to see if it’s a good fit between you and your therapist. They will ask you lots of questions about you and your family. You are welcome to ask them any questions you may have. At the end of the session, your therapist will check in with you if it feels like a good fit. If it does, then you can schedule future sessions with them.

If you are coming for Child & Family Therapy, the first session will sometimes be a parents/caregivers only session. Our Scheduling Team will let you know what to expect.

If you are coming in for Teen Counseling, the parents/caregivers will only be there for the first half of the initial session and then it’ll be just the teen.
